Re: How do you remove the armature??

Not sure how to get it off.

Hole in piston crown does not sound good. Normally hole is caused by detonation. It is when petrol basically explodes instead of burning slowly. Petrol needs tu burn slowly. Research 'detonation' for possible causes...

Re: NEW MEMBER working a 1974 TS 185

Is this the model with main jet in the bowl? There is an o ring that is needed and often is bad (40 year old bikes!) on the bit that plugs into the main jet on the bowl.

Also, which position is the 'e' clip installed on the needle?

Howdy Don. Welcome aboard. You may want to post in the "Wanted" section...

A nice tidy TS125 you have there! Good find. Normally folk remove all road gear and hit the dirt. Your one looks like the exception!

Re: NEW MEMBER working a 1974 TS 185

Hey a good bike for a good price. Check the oil pump is hooked up and working and I bet the engine will fire right up.

Welcome aboard. Looking forward to seeing this bike running... What are your plans for her?

Re: Neutral Switch Oil Leaking into Switch

Lay bike on RHS when doing this. I removed clutch cover yesterday on a TS125ER engine and with bike on LHS, bugger all oil leaked out of the gearbox during this process...

Re: 1975 TS125 Compression release?

100 what? Volts I assume? 100V is fine. This means that the points and stator coil are fine. Your issue must be in either the HV (High Voltage) coil, or sparkplug area. Switch multimeter to ohms and short probes together. There should be zero ohms (or there abouts). Then measure resistance between f...
